About Dr. Henry Cloud

Dr. Cloud is a New York Times best-selling author, and his over 45 books, including the iconic Boundaries, have sold over 20 million copies worldwide. Throughout his storied career as a clinician, he started treatment centers, created breakthrough new models rooted in research, and has been a leading voice on issues of mental health on a global scale.

For over four decades, Dr. Henry Cloud has counseled hundreds of ministry leaders and served thousands of ministries around the world. Very early on in his career, he was devoted to lifting the veil on the conversation around mental health in the church, long before these issues were a part of our daily conversation, and has dedicated his entire life to developing resources to address the unique mental health challenges of today’s culture. The countless lives changed by the work of Dr. Henry Cloud will be long remembered.

Churches That Heal is the culmination of Dr. Cloud’s life’s work and the next step in his desire to ensure the local church is the place where the hurting can find healing. His goal is to see the church as the place hurting people run to, not away from.
